George
George has since gone on to win numerous events. In 2007 his freestyle routine has
put him at the top of every competition and afforded him bragging rights as the best
freestyle routine of the Incredible Dog Challenge qualifying rounds.
He is currently a traveling athlete and recently finished in 1st place as the
freestyle champion of the Colorado Disc Challenge. He was up against 50 competing
teams from all around the country.
George is a 4 year old 21 lb. tri-colored Rat Terrier.
He was born July 7th, 2003 in Ramona, California. George is a small dog, but he doesn’t
know that.
He first competed in disc competitions as a puppy, and
he would amuse spectators by catching a long distance toss and then proceeding to chase
all the butterflies and birds with the disc firmly grasped in his mouth.
However, he quickly grew into a highly competitive
athlete. In 2005 George gained media attention with his qualifying performance in the
Incredible Dog Challenge tournament and was featured on the front page of the San Diego
Union Tribune.
